First Rounds Wins For Mostonians and Res In the Lancashire Amateur League Cup
Mostonians took on Hindley Juniors from the Lancashire Amateur First Division and demonstrated their intention for the season ahead. Goals came from "Dickie Dom", Martin Barnes-Gott, Tino Smally, James O'Hanlon and an OG.
Mostonians dominated most of the game with some great play involving the entire team. On a positive note the defence handled themselves really well which resulted in the first clean sheet of the season.
Mostonians Res also beat their opposition 2-0 with goals coming from Martin Carroll and Anthony Hunter. Two clean sheets from the first and res team is a good achievement and something which I am sure both managers will want to continue.
Mostonians 'A' however suffered another defeat but this time
at the hands of Little Lever 'A'. They went out of the cup after a 4-1 defeat
away to a very good Little Lever side.
